It is very important that your information is correct. For example, Net2Secure sends key renewal reminders and special codes for domain transfers to the email address on file. If your information is wrong or old, it could cause delays or problems with your domain.

Key Things to Know Before You Start

• Only One Main Contact: The most important contact for ICANN rules is the Registrant contact. Some types of domains might need a few more contacts, but this one is always a must.

• Company Name vs. Personal Name: If you fill out the "Organization" field, that company might be considered the legal owner of the domain instead of your personal name.

• Watch Your Typing: Please do not use special characters with accents (like ü, é, or ñ). This helps make sure all your information is submitted without any issues.

• For .in Domains: Due to special rules in India, your contact information for domains ending in .in cannot be hidden. It has to be public so everyone can see it.

How to Change Your Domain’s Contact Information in Net2Secure

2. Select the domain you want to manage. Then, find the section called "Registration Information" or "Contacts."

3. Click the "Edit" button to update the Registrant contact and, if needed, the Admin or Technical contacts.

4. Make sure all the fields are filled out correctly. Double-check your email address and make sure there are no special characters.

5. Click "Save."

6. If Net2Secure sees your domain as being managed by "Net2Secure Domains," you might see a pop-up asking you to confirm the changes. If you do, click "Submit."

7. If you change the Registrant's email for a generic domain (like .com), you will get a verification email. Make sure you follow the instructions in that email to complete the update.

After you change your name, email, or organisation, you can choose to turn on a contact update lock. This adds another layer of protection to stop anyone from making changes without your permission.
