If you’re managing your domain with Net2Secure, start by logging into your Net2Secure control panel. In your Domains dashboard, locate the domain and check the Provider column:
If Net2Secure appears there, you manage your domain directly through our platform.
If it displays another name or is marked "Unknown", follow the steps below to find who actually registered your domain
For any domain, whether or not it’s in your Net2Secure dashboard, check the registrar by using one of ICANN’s public tools: the Whois lookup or ACID tool.
Visit ICANN’s lookup page.
Enter the full domain name (e.g. yourbusiness.in).
Press Lookup/Check.
On the results page, note the Registrar and Registrar URL. These identify who legally holds your domain registration, distinct from where it's hosted or managed in your Net2Secure dashboard.
If you see a reseller listed, that may be the party managing your domain rather than the registrar itself.
Once you determine the registrar:
If the Registrar is Net2Secure, all domain settings, billing, and renewal management occur in your Net2Secure account.
If the Registrar is a third party (GoDaddy, BigRock, etc.), you'll continue managing billing and registration directly through that provider.
If it’s unknown or unclear: Use the registrar URL to log in or contact the provider for clarity.
After identifying the correct provider, whether Net2Secure or another you'll be able to manage your billing, auto‑renew settings, and transfer status appropriately
If Net2Secure is listed as your provider, here’s how to manage domain settings and billing:
1. Manage Billing & Renewal
Access your Domains dashboard from the main menu.
Click the domain name to open its details page, then select the Billing or Renewal section.
Here you can:
View or edit your payment method.
Enable or disable auto‑renew.
See upcoming renewal dates and payable amounts.
2. Update Domain Registration Data
To ensure ICANN compliance, keep your registration contact information up to date.
In the domain details page, find the Registration Information section.
Click Edit to review or change fields like Registrant name, Organisation, Email, Address, Phone, etc. Then click Save.
If ICANN requires verification (e.g. changing the Registrant email), you'll receive an email from Net2Secure to confirm the change. Follow the link and approve to finalise.
Note: Changing key contact fields may trigger a 60‑day lock, which prevents domain transfers during that period.
3. Resend Verification Emails
If you updated your Registrant contact and didn’t receive or missed the verification email:
In the domain's details page, look for a “Contact changes pending notice.
Click Resend verification email or similar option to trigger delivery again
4. Transfer or Connect Domain
You may want to transfer your domain to Net2Secure (if currently with another registrar) or simply connect it to your hosting:
Transfer In
Unlock your domain at the current registrar (if required).
Get the Authorisation (EPP) code.
In your Net2Secure dashboard, navigate to Transfer Domain, enter the code, and pay for one year's renewal.
Monitor status via the dashboard, and click Refresh status as needed.
Transfer typically completes within 15 days if all steps are followed.
Connect (Point DNS)
If you prefer to keep your domain with another provider but use it with Net2Secure hosting:
Log into the external registrar.
Update DNS nameservers or relevant DNS records (A, CNAME) to point to your Net2Secure hosting IPs.
In Net2Secure dashboard, verify that the domain is connecting properly.
While managing or transferring domains, it’s a good time to review your DNS setup:
In the domain details page, open the DNS Settings interface.
Ensure A, CNAME, MX, TXT, and SRV records are correct.
For custom email services (e.g. Google Workspace), keep the correct MX records intact.
To confirm your email provider, look for MX records that point to Mail servers like (google.com ) or other email hosts.
If a domain transfer is pending:
You'll see a status like Transfer in progress.
If there's an issue such as “Domain locked” or “Invalid authorisation code”, you’ll receive a clear error message and remediation steps. For example:
Domain locked, log into the previous provider and unlock it.
Authorisation code rejected double‑check and re‑enter the correct code.
Once corrected, click Submit or Retry in your dashboard. Transfer typically completes within 15 days; if not, contact your current provider for slower responses, as it's often outside Net2Secure's control
Keep your Registrant email accurate, it's how renewal reminders and transfer codes are sent.
Use an email address outside your domain (e.g. Gmail) to avoid missing communications if the domain becomes inaccessible.
Enable domain privacy (if available) to protect personal contact data from public WHOIS lookups.
Ensure a valid payment method is saved to avoid renewal failures or expiration.
For any billing, DNS, or transfer questions, Net2Secure's 24/7 support team in India is available to assist.
