By default, many domains load with "www" (like www.yourdomain.com). However, you may prefer a cleaner, more direct version yourdomain.com, for branding or SEO reasons. At Net2Secure, India's leading web hosting and domain provider, you can easily configure your domain to remove the "www" prefix using our intuitive control panel.
Removing "www" offers a modern and minimalist web address. It also ensures consistency in branding and improves user experience. However, it’s essential to ensure both www and non-www versions correctly point to your site to avoid SEO issues.
Steps to Redirect www to Non-www in Net2Secure
Log in to your Net2Secure Control Panel.
Navigate to DNS Settings under your domain management section.
Locate the CNAME record pointing www.yourdomain.com to your root domain (yourdomain.com). If it doesn't exist, create a CNAME record:
Host: www
Value/Points to: yourdomain.com
Set up a 301 redirect from www to non-www. This ensures users and search engines are directed to the correct version.
If you're using a CMS like WordPress, use a redirection plugin or set it via.
For custom setups, update your server configuration accordingly.
Our 24/7 expert support team is ready to assist. Whether you’re managing DNS records or configuring redirects, Net2Secure makes domain and web hosting management seamless and reliable.
