Adding more years to your domain registration is a great way to protect your website. Here's a simple guide on how to do it using your Net2Secure account.
Why You Should Renew Early
-
Avoid Downtime: Renewing early prevents your domain from expiring, which could cause your website and email to stop working.
-
Boost Your SEO: Search engines like Google often see domains with longer registration periods as more trustworthy and reliable.
-
Peace of Mind: You won't have to worry about missing a renewal deadline and losing your domain.
How to Add Years to Your Domain
You can extend your domain registration as long as it's active and managed by Net2Secure. The total registration period can be up to 10 years.
-
Log In to Your Account: Go to the Net2Secure website and log in to your account.
-
Go to Domain Manager: From your main dashboard, find the section for Domain Manager or My Domains.
-
Select Your Domain: Click on the domain name you want to extend.
-
Add More Years: Look for an option like Renew Domain or Extend Registration. You can then choose how many years you want to add, up to the 10-year limit.
-
Confirm and Pay: Review the total cost and complete the payment. Once it's successful, your domain's new expiration date will be updated.
Set Up Auto-Renewal
To avoid having to do this manually every year, we highly recommend turning on auto-renewal. This will automatically extend your domain's registration using your stored payment method before it expires. You can find this option in your domain's settings under the Auto-Renew tab.
Renewing your domain registration is a simple but important step to keep your online presence secure and uninterrupted.
