Net2Secure offers powerful tools to transfer or connect domains to your hosting account. But if your domain is registered with another provider (like GoDaddy, BigRock, or Namecheap), you may need to contact them directly to manage DNS settings or resolve setup issues. Below are useful resources and example messages you can use when requesting support, from domain transfer eligibility to SSL troubleshooting or DNS verification.
Note: If Net2Secure’s instructions differ from your registrar’s, follow their guidance your domain provider’s setup controls the DNS and records.
1. Transfer Support
Is your domain eligible for transfer?
Transferring your domain to Net2Secure centralises your domain management and simplifies support. To ensure eligibility, your domain must meet:
A TLD supported by Net2Secure
No restrictions or registry‑premium domain status
At least 60 days since initial registration or last transfer
Domain must be unlocked
Registration term under 9 years remaining
Account status is active and not past‑due
I’d like to transfer my domain your-domain.com to Net2Secure.com. Can you confirm if it meets the eligibility requirements? I understand that:
• The TLD must be supported by Net2Secure.
• It cannot be a registry premium domain.
• 60 days must have passed since registration or previous transfer.
• The domain must be unlocked.
• It must have less than 9 years on its current registration.
• The domain must be in good standing.
If services like email or DNS hosting depend on your current registrar, ask them:
I plan to transfer your-domain.com to Net2Secure.com. Are there any active services such as email hosting, forwarding, or DNS support that could be disrupted? I appreciate understanding what needs to stay active or be migrated prior to transfer.
If the transfer status shows “In Progress,” your registrar may need to approve or release it. Many providers auto‑release within 5 business days. Use this message if you’re unsure:
My domain your-domain.com, shows a transfer in progress. Could you confirm whether the domain has been released from your end? Please let me know if you require any further input or confirmation.
If you use a custom email address hosted with your domain registrar, clarify whether transferring or disconnecting the domain affects email service. Use something like:
I use email addresses under your-domain.com hosted with your service. If I transfer or connect the domain to Net2Secure, will that disrupt email delivery or DNS settings for email? Let me know what I should do before moving forward.
If you’ve attempted to connect your third-party domain via Net2Secure’s DNS panel and it’s not connecting (after 24–48 hours), reach out to your registrar with the following info:
A screenshot of the DNS records displayed in your Net2Secure control panel
A clear statement of the issue (e.g. CAA record missing or DNS mismatch)
The domain name itself.
I recently connected your-domain.com to my Net2Secure hosting account. I’ve shared a screenshot of the DNS settings currently showing in the Net2Secure panel. It appears that a CAA record may be missing or incompatible, preventing SSL provisioning. Could you please review the DNS configuration and ensure the following CAA record exists or respond to SSL validation queries correctly?
• Domain: your-domain.com
• Record type: CAA
• Flags: 0
• Tag: issue (or issuewild for subdomain)
• Issuer: letsencrypt.org
If you’re using Net2Secure’s Email Campaigns or marketing tools and need verification records added to your domain:
Take a screenshot of the verification records in Net2Secure’s DNS settings panel Or copy and paste each unique TXT or CNAME record, noting which row or purpose it serves
I’m trying to verify your-domain.com for email marketing via Net2Secure. Since my domain is registered elsewhere, your help is needed to add these records. I’ve attached the screenshot from my Net2Secure DNS panel. If necessary, I can share the specific host and data values. Please let me know if you’re able to assist or if further details are required.
Transfer your domain to Net2Secure when possible, it allows centralised billing, full DNS control, automatic SSL, and direct support.
Connect the domain (also called DNS Connect or custom domain mapping) if transfer isn’t possible or preferred. In this case:
Your registrar retains hosting and DNS management
You add required DNS records (A, CNAME, TXT) by editing their DNS panel
Net2Secure provides the required values in your hosting control panel
If the guided setup differs from this article, follow Net2Secure's documentation first. And if you encounter conflicting advice, always defer to your domain provider's support.
CNAME Records:
Records for Example:
Purpose | Host / Alias | Record Type | Value |
---|---|---|---|
Verification CNAME |
(unique random code) |
CNAME |
verify.net2secure.com |
“www” record |
www |
CNAME |
ext-cust.net2secure.com |
Four A‑Records to map root domain:
Host: @IP: 198.185.159.144
Host: @IP: 198.185.159.145
Host: @IP: 198.49.23.144
Host: @IP: 198.49.23.145
Domain not connecting after 24 – 48 hours?
In your Net2Secure account, the DNS settings panel may display “Record not found” or red-highlighted records this indicates mismatches in DNS records.
Common checks:
Compare host value, record type, and destination/version Look for extra/duplicate records that conflict (e.g., old A‑records or CNAMEs) Ensure your domain isn’t using third‑party nameservers default registrar nameservers often needed After making DNS updates, wait 48 hours and click Refresh DNS status in Net2Secure.
Typical CNAME issues: Missing trailing period on record values causes alias errors Duplicate host names or domain names are appended twice Registrar doesn’t support CNAME if so, you may use a TXT verification record (see sample below)
A‑Record issues:
Delete any existing A‑records for @ that don't match Net2Secure’s values Never remove MX, email, or mail‑related records doing so may disrupt email.
If your provider doesn’t support CNAME records or the verification CNAME fails to validate:
Wait at least 48 hours, as propagation can take time
In Net2Secure, copy the unique code listed for verification
In your registrar’s DNS panel, create a TXT record:
Host/Alias: @ (or leave blank)
Type: TXT
Value/Data: the unique code from Net2Secure
Save the record, then return to Net2Secure DNS settings and click Refresh. After resolving, the verification will show as “Correct” in the panel.
If issues persist or DNS status still shows errors after checking and waiting:
Reach out to your domain provider with:
A screenshot of Net2Secure’s DNS panel
Specific domain name
Details of the error (e.g., missing CAA or “Record not found”)
Any steps you’ve followed.
Despite the DNS records appearing correct in Net2Secure's control panel, the status remains in error. I’ve waited the suggested window and refreshed twice. Could you review the DNS zone and confirm whether nameservers are set correctly, and no old records are interfering? The domain is your-domain.com. I can provide screenshots or raw host/data values if needed.
